Ok, it has been AGES since I posted any strange UFO/Fortean type stuff here. In fact what little is here I'm migrating to another blog. But I can't resist this one. This is good stuff.

We Lost An Interesting Person This Last Week

Amid all the celebrities dying the media over looked the death of a lesser known but important figure who died recently. On July 3rd, John A. Keel died. He wrote the Mothman Prophecies and many other books relating to the Fortean, my favorite being Operation Trojan Horse.

I was very much on the same page (or like to think so) with Keel's views about UFO's, Ghost, Faeries, etc... all really being the same phenomena, and that phenomena isn't extraterrestrial, but ultraterrestrial. Keel, though not a Christian, declared on several occasions that he wasn't really a "UFO-ologist", but a "demonologist" because he recognized the phenomena for what it really is. He, independent of a religion paradigm, came to the same conclusions I have and many others have about UFO's being something other and more complex then little green men from space or hicks out in the back woods who drank too much.

I admired Keel, as I admire anyone, who looks around the world and realizes (or really admits to themselves) that there is more then meets the eye as to what is going on in this fascinating realm we call existence. I admire his courage and the intellectual honesty to peer at the things that "don't make sense" if the world is exclusively a by product of random mutation.

Somewhere in the links there is a story about some person who was going to marry an alien. This story is easy to dismiss as the person having serious problems. From my experience, this story is probably LEGIT, at least from the perspective of the person describing the encounters. However, the beings are not aliens, they are must older, and more malevolent.

On Aliens

Sometimes when I chat with people about UFO's and such (by the way I don't believe that the Earth is being visited by Aliens, I think something much more sinister is going on then that), one of the immediate fall back positions that people often use to discredit what I will call "the phenomena" goes along these lines...

"If there really where aliens visiting us, and the government knew about it, someone would leak."

My response is often that there are people who leak. Here is a recent example-

Again, I think UFO's and Alien Abduction type stuff fall into the spiritual realm. In my opinion if anyone takes a serious look at the phenomena, they will not be able to easily discredit the notion that something (or somethings) is going on, what that something is (or somethings are) is what the serious debate is all about.

A Flying Witch?

Mexico lately has been a hot spot for UFO sightings. Now we have film of a...flying witch? Probably not, but there is video of SOMETHING flying around. It looks like a woman in some sort of jet pack device. Of course video can be easily faked now a days, but allegedly there are plenty of witnesses.

Meteor Causes Sickness

I saw a few blips of this on my RSS feeds yesterday and today. A meteor his somewhere in South America, and apparently spewed forth some kind of murky substance that made a bunch of people sick. At least it wasn't a bunch of organic goo that eats people, but kinda freaky none the less.

Slashdot picked up on an article describing the fact that life starting here on earth rather then somewhere else is about one trillion trillion. Of course, for atheist scientist, that must mean that life came from a comet(huh?). Pretty soon numerous folks will ditch the comet for UFO's and space aliens, just you watch.

Another Exorcism Gone Bad

Don't get me wrong, I'm a Christian, and I have a pretty fundamentalist view on the existence of demons and the occasional clash between the followers of Jesus and the forces of Darkness. It just seems lately that the forces of darkness have spun things around by having crazies under their control preform exorcisms on innocent people. Is this a campaign to discredit exorcism by the forces of darkness? Or just nut jobs doing what nut jobs do?

Middle East Giants

My girlfriend and I for some reason got on the subject of giants. I think the thought train went something like us looking at the Second Life symbol, me remarking that the Indians would hold up their hands in "how" to shoe that they only had five fingers (unlike giants which allegedly had six), and then I went on thinking about giants as written about in the Bible.

Anyway, I did a quick search, and I found a pretty cool link. Note the site isn't an example of the latest web 2.0 techniques, but it does contain some interesting info, which to me is way more important then web bling.

One day I'll post what I really think about UFO's. The just is that UFO's and the whole alien abduction deal have to do with heaven and hell, along with some government black projects, frauds, weather phenomena, crazy people, and more. I find it disturbing that alien symbols are working there way into the mainstream more and more. Are we being primed for something? You can scoff, if you take more then a cursory look past the wackos and easy discredits, things start getting...weird.
